Black Women Matter: Honoring the Life of Breonna Taylor

A few months ago, I asked a group of local Black women to join me for a photoshoot in honor of Breonna Taylor’s life. 

I had read (in an interview with Breonna’s mother) that Breonna loved to dress up… she LOVED celebrating LIFE.

I wanted to take a moment to stand up for her.

To show up for her.

Her life mattered.

Black women are BEAUTIFUL.

Brilliant.

Resilient.

Powerful.

I’ve never been more proud to be BLACK.

All different shades… all different stories… but we are all Black women.

We stand in power.

Together.

Breonna Taylor… this one’s for you.
